A recent report suggests that people in Florida are dealing with a fair amount of stress.

The report ranked the states based on stress level. In determining the stress level of a state, the report considered 33 different factors. These factors fell into four broad categories of stress: family-related, health/safety-related, money-related and work-related.

The report found Florida to be among the 15 states with the highest amounts of stress. Specifically, it was ranked the 13th most stressed state overall.

The state showed particularly high stress levels in the category of family-related stress. It was the 6th most stressed state in this category. This was the highest rank it had among any of the four stress categories.

One of the factors the report looked at in the category of family-related stress is a state’s divorce rate. The report found Florida to have the third highest divorce rate in the nation. So, it appears that this is one of the contributors to Florida’s high rank when it comes to family-related stress.

Now, it is true that a divorce can be quite stressful. The complexity and importance of divorce issues, such as property division, alimony and child custody, can understandably give rise to anxieties.

However, it is also true that there are various things that may be able to help with reducing the stress of a divorce. Among these is getting qualified and knowledgeable legal guidance during the divorce process. Being armed with the right information and having help with the complexities of a divorce may help the divorce process be less intimidating and less stressful.
